Described in old astronomy, the orb is any concentric sphere surrounding the earth which carry celestial bodies in their evolution. This ongoing series explores the notion of the celestial form as spherical bodies.
The orb has heavy layers of slip applied to the thrown form in the same clay that is then hand carved. Made with Australian stoneware clays.
Blend of colbalt carbonate glaxe and silicon carbide studio developed glazes.
